Let us help you unlock your natural potential to heal

Our Services

Acupuncture

  • Acupuncture is a form of health care that treats a wide variety of health issues, it is clinically proven effective especially working on different types of pains.

The word 'acupuncture' has two parts, 'acu' and 'puncture'. Acu means needle. Puncture means 'to pierce'.

Our practitioners will insert needles (well-made, medical grade, disposable) into specific acupuncture points based on the theories of Traditional Chinese Medicine and other natural medical approaches. This will activate your Qi (life energy) and blood, and promote your own body to heal itself.

  • There are times that the patient may feel the pain, but for most of the cases, acupuncture is pain free, our patient will barely feel the needle inserting in or withdrawing out.

It’s extremely safe and well-regulated. The practitioners are required to first get a master in Oriental Medicine before sitting for the 4 board tests. Most of the acupuncture physicians are trained with very strict guidelines and only the top 20-30% of them will be able to get the license and start practicing. Acupuncture is also safe for pediatric cases, and if the young patients are afraid of needles, we can use acupressure.

    Possible adverse effects include:

    • slight light headed/dizziness after session

    • feeling hungry after session

    • feeling sleepy after session

    • minor hematomas (not common)

Facial Rejuvenation/Acupuncture

Like traditional acupuncture, we will insert needles (ultra-thin, well-made, medical grade, disposable) into specific acupuncture points based on the theories of Traditional Chinese Medicine. This will activate your Qi (life energy) and blood, and promote your own body to heal itself.

  • There are times that the patient may feel the pain, but for most of the cases, acupuncture is pain free, our patient will barely feel the needle inserting in or withdrawing out. Acupressure will give you the feeling of “tender”, which is like a little sore, distending feeling.

Moxibustion (Moxa)

  • Moxibustion (Moxa) is a universal technique that has been used in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) for over thousands of years. It has an even longer history than acupuncture. By using lighted Ai Ye (Mugwort) to directly or indirectly heal specific areas or acupuncture points, to promote circulation, stop pain, and dispel cold.

  • In general, no, it doesn’t. There are two types of moxibustion technique, one is indirect and the other is direct, while indirect moxa is more commonly being used and more universal, direct moxa is considered a more advanced treatment technique.

The difference between indirect and direct moxa is the indirect moxa will not have direct contact with the skin, and the direct moxa will have contact with your skin, but there will usually be a piece of ginger, salt, or a heat pad between the moxa cone and your skin to avoid burning. Direct moxa is considered more intense and may leave mark on the skin (will disappear after some time)

  • Ai Ye (mugwort) is considered the immortal herb for gynecology in TCM, commonly being used to treat:

    • dysmenorrhea (menstrual cramps)

    • amenorrhea (absence of menstruation)

    • fibroids

    • endometriosis

    • urology and andrology issues (pain, difficulty urination and ED)

It’s also broadly used in pediatric cases as it is a needle-less treatment.

Fire Cupping Therapy

  • Cupping is becoming a trend these days, but it’s not new, it dates back in the ancient Chinese, Egyptian, Indian, and Middle eastern history and cultures.

Cupping is a therapeutic method to increase the flow of blood and Qi within the superficial muscle layers by creating congestions.

In Fire Cupping Therapy, your physician will place different sizes of glass cups over the affected or specific areas on your body. A vacuum is created under the cup using heat. They may be moved over an affected area or left in place.

  • It’s extremely safe and may only be painful when initially the vacuum effect is too much, you can ask the acupuncture physician to adjust the strength of the vacuum.

You will have cupping marks left on the area that will usually disappear within 10 days with no harm.

  • Cupping can help:

    • heal sore muscles

    • Improve blood and lymph circulation

    • promote mobility and range of motion

    • improve scars

    • decrease toxins in your body

    • relieve pain and more…

  • 30 min Cupping Therapy Session: $45

This service can be used as an additional service.

Tui Na/Shiatsu-Anma (Medical Massage)

  • Tui-Na is made up of “Tui” and “Na”, “Tui” means pushing and pressing and “Na” means grasping. It’s a specific style of Manual Therapy that follows the theory of traditional Chinese Medicine. Acupressure also is part of the Tui-Na.

Shiatsu-Anma is originated from traditional Chinese Medicine theory but combined the modern research and development of Japanese style manual therapy for hundreds of years.

  • It may give you a strong “tenderness” feeling sore and distending or a little some ticklish if the practitioners are working on the right area. The tenderness actually indicates you need to promote the Qi and Blood in the region to solve the problem. The “hurt” is beneficial to your body.

  • These two traditional Asian manual therapies are considered medical/healing massage that are broadly used but not only being used for pain or relaxing.

This technique may leave redness or brown pigmentation to the skin that will dissipates usually within a week.
